There were a lot of dafs in the shop. |
Fortunately, I watched a demonstration at that time while the specialist of the
daf art was coming in the store. He doesn't draft and compose the poetry of Harfez
etc. directly on the surface of the daf with ink. |

There were a lot of natural skin (sheepskin) dafs in the shop, too. I like the tone of natural skin better than plastic one, however, it is difficult to use natural skin daf in Japan where the change in humidity so many. |
Here is really an Art daf painting . How beautiful ! This cannot be used to perform because it is
so good.

Of course, there were a lot of tombaks and dayerehs in the inside of a store besides dafs, too. And, there were a lot of Persian musical instruments, too. |
Of course, I took lessons of
daf, dayereh, and tombak. Mr. Pezhham is a great musician who released many CDs in Iran. Thanks ! Pezhham !!! |

His techniques are amazing and also very cool ! |
The frame drums such as dafs and dayerehs are actively still used to play in Iran.
The late Fumio Koizumi who was the leader of ethno-musicology in Japan said
"Iranian music is the most beautiful music in the world".
I deeply agreed it through this tour.
And also I thought Japanese sensibility is connecting to Persia in somewhere.
Because the culture of Persia extended to Japan via the silk road,
and treasures are still kept in Shousouin temple in Kyoto.
I was surprised to know there is a Farsi word (that expressing one's thanks to others)
like "Otsukare sama" in Japanese.
It's " Hashite nabashi !"
I felt more familiar with Persia !
Probably, we have the same feeling in human relationship.
Every people I met in Tehran is wonderful, gentle and kind, I got a lot of good memories.
If I have a chance, I want to visit there again.
Merci ! Tehran !
